Is the deadline for the restoration for the judiciary set by the participants in yesterdays All Pakistan Lawyers Representatives Convention in Lahore. The lawyers at the convention unanimously agreed to advance the struggle for the restoration of the judiciary through direct action and civil disobedience according to Anwar Kamal, the Lahore High Court Bar Association President. Further, a “National Co-ordination Council” has been created in order to spear head future protest strategies.

U.S. Black Flag Week Solidarity Events

The Student Action Committee USA chapter is holding solidarity events this weekend as part of the black flag week. There will be demonstrations in Washington DC, New York and Boston. The purpose of these protests is to denounce, in the strongest terms, the illegal deposition of members of the Pakistani judiciary and to demand the immediate restoration of the judiciary to the pre-Nov 3 status.
